What makes us want to buy art and decorate our homes?

Decorating is a way to creatively expressing ourselves. It can be seen as an extension of our being. By decorating our home, or place of work we decide to make it either lively, or cozy with the intention to either stimulate, or energize us. After all, it isn't just about a place to live, but rather about creating an inspiring, harmonious space with a beautiful atmosphere to spend our time in. And because high vibrational, original art makes us feel good...or at least better about ourselves, we have an emotional response to it. So the buyer bonds with the artist on this level, even if it is only in his, or her mind. On the other hand, art can be bought purely to occupy an empty space on the wall and for the colours to match the surrounding décor. In this case modern, as well as contemporary art can be very aesthetically pleasing. It can stimulate our senses so that we move beyond the reality we're in.     Since each piece has this unique quality, it also opens our senses to other dimensions, making us more psychic!
