.... I then started a new body of work that was to be a
more sensitive approach in response to the realities of our
current condition. Instead about division, nihilism, lethargy
and apathy, the overriding principles within my ideas were
now about overcoming them. I imagined picturing the interconnectedness
between people, whilst embracing & affirming life. I really wanted to
communicate this idea of intensified, sophisticated simplicity,
which would make room for what is wild, powerful, sensual
and beautiful. They then in turn should be imbued with
aphorisms to bring about an intriguing, lyrical interplay....
